After the first couple times we had chili, my husband said that if I wanted to make chili he would eat I needed to get his mom’s recipe. I make soups that I know he won’t eat often, so sometimes he gets this fresh and several meals of leftovers.
The ingredients are:
1 lb ground chuck 2 cans 15-oz Mrs. Grimes chili beans Large can tomato juice Chili tub: Johnson’s chili thickener, in frozen food section Onions--pureed in blender for the hubby Chili powder
I adjust the amounts based on how much space I have in my pot. Fudge factor: high.
